How to Wear New Season Polos

For the always unpredictable Australian climate, the humble polo is a sartorial staple. Perfect for every occasion, from quiet weekends at home to busy nights in the city, a great polo worn well will be a great base for your year-round look.

There are a few cardinal rules regarding the proper ways to wear a polo.

  •  A polo should never cover more than half of your back pockets, otherwise your look starts to go from sharp to sloppy.
  • There is no blanket rule regarding how many buttons can be left undone. The neck openings on a Calibre polo are generally not low cut, so button the last button if you prefer, or keep them all unbuttoned.
  • The fit around your middle is important, but so is the fit around your arms. When the polo starts puckering under your arms, it means it is probably time to go a size up.
  • Don’t be afraid to introduce coloured and printed polos to your wardrobe. A great navy, white and black polo will always be wardrobe staples, but a stand out print or a pop of colour will give you a great edge come the weekend.

NEW IN NAVY

A printed polo adds an instant sharpness to your favourite pair of jeans and sneakers, and is as easy and comfortable to wear as a tee. The Strada Blue Polo is a great stand out piece that can easily be worn back with jeans or chinos, especially with the frost coloured Saddle Jean.

BLACK AND WHITE

Give the preppy polo a streetwear edge with the Polished Biker Jeans and Atlantic High Top Sneaker. The Pique SS Polo has a stand up collar rather than a traditional polo collar, meaning a really fresh, modern look overall.

STAND OUT IN RED

The Red Jacquard Polo makes a statement with its bright colour and micro-jacquard print. Pair with the Slim Hipster Chino and Hybrid Sneakers in Tan for a comfortable and fashion-forward weekend look.
