How to wear the Cotton Blazer

Sep 27, 2015 - Calibre

A Calibre Blazer is a statement maker. Whether it be for its stand-out-from-the-crowd colour, or the impeccable tailoring, a Calibre blazer is a must have for any sartorially minded gent.

As the temperature starts to rise (and your calendars start slowly filling up), looking good and feeling fresh are never more important. You need an ensemble that says laidback cool, but equally says sharp and sophisticated – and that is where your Calibre blazer comes in.

We have put together our favourite blazer looks for the season, perfect whether you are heading off to work, out for drinks or lunch with friends.

Who doesn’t love lazy days in shorts and short sleeves? It is the ultimate summer look, and we don’t doubt you will be sporting both throughout most of the summer months. But what happens when the sun is out, but the occasion is a little dressier? Throw a blazer over the top of your favourite ensemble for a polished, smart look. Our new collection blazers are made from either 100% Cotton, or a cotton-linen blend, meaning they are light and breathable – perfect for keeping cool in the warmer weather.

Stand out this Saturday night with two of our punchiest colours of the season. The process blue of the Imperial Blazer looks great when toned down with navy tailored trousers and accessories – we think it is the perfect date look. Want a statement-making look that is sure to turn heads? The Seafoam Blazer (and matching pants) definitely fits the bill. Anchor down the look with navy accessories, or mix and match the blazer with other items in your wardrobe for a paired back look.

In our minds, weekends are reserved for comfort – but one should never have to sacrifice style to achieve it. Cotton tee’s are a must, with stretch denim or cotton trousers their perfect companions. Add a blazer to the equation (whether you opt for something as sartorial as the Red Double Breasted Jacket, or a staple like the Otto Navy Blazer), then finish with your favourite driving shoes.
